More to the point what were these hoteliers thinking?

When it comes to business the name chosen has numerous branding, marketing, and web implications and therefore needs careful consideration. However, even the best intentions can fall more a little flat when you take into account the multi-lingual world we live in.

Often with hilarious consequences.

What can seem perfectly innocent in one tongue can take on a whole new meaning in another.

In the world of hospitality, subtlety is key and the average English speaker might think twice about spending a few nights in “Bad Hotel”  or “Terrible Hotel Casino”, while  “Porn Hotel” probably only appeals to a certain corner of the market.
